This game was pretty fun and interesting. the voice acting was pretty good and the character models were fun to make fun of. I think this game could have been worked on a little bit longer but overall this was a super fun game to play. It was also really fun to meme the hell out of this game. I doubt this is a coincidence. And if it's not you could mention getting the idea from here. If it turns out you have a connection (hell maybe this is an old game that used to be patreon-only and they got the idea from you or something) and you let me know I'll edit/delete this comment if you'd like.
Also missed a couple key things story wise that work better in the film. For one it would have helped to make it clear that it only moves when you're not looking. It's very clear in the video but not the game. Him leaving his wife there instead of them both leaving only makes sense because someone has to stay and watch the box. Also there is a reason he leaves instead of calling the cops or similar (not saying here, spoiler for the video).
Besides all that, it makes a nice creepy atmosphere especially for a five day game.

The guy in the box? Mine is totally different. The one in the film is a an almost human looking person. The box gets dropped off by a friend and there is a phone conversation between them & what not.
I can see why people think it was inspiration, but it wasn’t. Just some coincidence. Regardless, most work these days are based off of something or inspired by something so I can see why people would think it was. I was more inspired by HP Lovecraft & Tim Burton than anything else.

So I had to watch another video (Mainly MrKravin's one) to get subtitles on my own video (twice). You should maybe consider adding some to the game if possible. My only issue with it, cause I ran around like a headless chook..
Also, another thing that was wrong is (I think) some sound doesn't play, like I noticed in MrKravin's video that he got jumpscared by a sound playing in a room -- probably broken glass? It didnt play for me, like at all.
Firstly, that’s a great suggestion. I do need to work more accessibility into my games & this is something I have been thinking about a lot. This game was made in five days as a rapid ideation project so there are some things that need to be cut for that to work but I will 100% make sure I do this going forwards. I don’t want to exclude people from being able to experience or play the games I make.
In regards to the audio issue you had, this is the first I am hearing of the issue. I generally make a point of watching everyone’s video & haven’t seen this for myself. This is most likely an isolated issue or a glitch that just unfortunately happened to you whilst playing, so for that I am sorry.

Glad to hear that you're considering adding accessibility to your games. No-one's perfect when making a game, I would know that cause I tried to make my own game last year lol.
It's also pretty well made for just 5 days, honestly. Also, another thing to note is if you need some help with accessibility (like readable subtitle sizes), you can always contact me -- email is on my YouTube channel, in my about(clickable link)page.
Another thing that is a bit of a pain and would need to be changed is to shorten the distance to the car, because it is quite loooooong walk. Especially since you're just walking (yes, I do acknowledge you made this in 5 days :p).
Another thing you could do in there is maybe move the house closer to the edge of the fence?
Some more things you could possibly do is add a highlight for the thing you need, or even easier thing is to have a pop-up like "[press E to pick up item]"
so it's not that hard to find something.
Just shooting out some ideas to you. I have so many ideas that I can give you. Let me know if some of those are of help to you!

Fun short horror game. It was certainly bizarre and I really liked the premise of the game. Receiving a mysterious box can be quite scary. I thought the animation and voice acting were hilarious and fun to watch. I did have trouble hearing what they said but that's on me for being deaf. The ending was a bit out of place for me. Overall, I can see you are improving well over the past games you made. Keep it up!

Had to play this as soon as I saw the screenshots. Loved the cinematography of the game (if it can be called that?) The voice acting was perfect and hilarious at the same time and it was super great to listen to. The amount of work that you put in really shows and it was a great and fun game! The game was true to its inspiration and does as much as it can in the short time it lasts. The end was diverged from the movie you based the game on and confused me at first but it was super hilarious!
Game was loads of fun, looked and sounded great, had a lot of fun playing!
